We bring together local schools in the community in order to provide a cohesive approach to learning for our pupils, across all phases of education.
Gary Hampton is Headteacher of Harefield Primary School set in a disadvantaged area of Southampton. He was educated in Southampton and spent his teaching career in the city. He has led Harefield Primary School through amalgamation, rebuild and academy conversion. During this time the school moved from “serious weaknesses” to “outstanding” and is now a national Support School. As a National Leader of Education Gary has supported a number of schools in the area.
Gary is working within the Hamwic Trust which currently contains two multi academy trusts and which will have ten academies by 2014. He is currently a director of learning and leading the development in the second trust of schools based on local community values and the desire for schools to work together. This is providing unique opportunities for improving pupil outcomes and extending continuing professional development opportunities for staff across all schools. The trust is currently seeking Teaching School status to develop professional opportunities and accreditation for staff. The trust is currently making a Free School application to provide an all through 4-17 on site provision.Contact Gary

Jane came into teaching in 1994 after having her family. Before taking up the Headship of Hollybrook she taught in Dorset in First Schools and a large Infant School. For three years during this time she was a County Moderator for the end of Key Stage 1 SAT’s. She is passionate about children being given the opportunity to learn through a stimulating cross curricular approach where they are taught knowledge and skills that they can then apply across the curriculum. In this way she believes that we are enabling our children to become lifelong learners. Through the support of our dedicated staff, parents, governors and local community, and the opportunities provided by being part of our multi-academy trust, Jane feels that we are giving our children the very best start to their education.Contact Jane
